God's Garden of Flowers
 GOD'S GARDEN OF FLOWERS
While strolling through God's Garden of flowers
I spotted two white turtledoves
Colorful hummingbirds flapping their wings
Blue jays perched on branches like kings
The tiny bird's chirping was a most welcome sound
Dancing around as they pecked at the ground
Bumblebees with yellow jackets filled me with fear
I dread the thought of one even coming too near
While sitting in God's Garden of flowers today
The scent of each bloom drifted my way
Colors so vivid and washed by God's rain
Are certain to reappear over and over again
Down by my feet was a cute cottontail rabbit
Wiggling his nose as he hopped off quite by habit
The sun was warming my heart as well as my soul
With God all around how could one possibly be cold
While sitting in God's Garden of flowers today
I lowered my head and started to pray
Thank you Lord for all you bestow
As some of us know not where to go
For all the forgiveness You have endowed upon us
Lifting us up when we stumble and fall in the dust
Surrounding each with Your Heavenly bliss
Thank you, Dear Lord, for all these wonderful gifts.
